Steels

Steels are widely used in defense and aerospace industry. They are generally classified in series of 4 digits. Here are some:

• Low, medium and high Carbon steels AISI 1xxx.
• Constructional steels AISI 4xxx
• Chrome Vanadium steels AISI 6xxx
• Chrome Silicon Manganese steels AISI 9xxx

Produced in wires, bars, sheets, strips, tubes, profiles. Could be supplied as non-coated, galvanized, Zinc-Aluminum (Galfan) or Tin coated

Typical applications:

• Vehicles’ various parts and accessories.
• Engine valve springs
• Truck leaf springs
• Fasteners, i.e. rivets, bolts, screws, washers, pins, etc…
• Parts for small arms
• Ordnance – ammunition links
