STEELS
Steels are the most used in automotive industry. They are generally classified in series of 4 digits. Here are some:
- Low, medium and high Carbon steels AISI 1xxx.
- Constructional steels AISI 4xxx
- Chrome Vanadium steels AISI 6xxx
- Chrome Silicon Manganese steels AISI 9xxx
Steels are also classified according EN, ASTM, AMS, AISI, and other standards
Produced in wires, bars, sheets, strips, tubes, profiles. Could be supplied as non-coated, galvanized, Zinc-Aluminum (Galfan) or Tin coated
Typical applications:
- Vehicles various parts
- Engine valve springs
- Truck leaf springs
- Fasteners, i.e. rivets, bolts, screws, rivets, washers, pins.
